Smash Wii U Easy Cruel Man Smash
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U contains Challenges in the form of panels full of locked tiles. While any tile can be unlocked on a page if the requirement is fulfilled, players will only see what the requirements are if a nearby tile has already been completed.
advertisement
Completing challenge tiles will reward the player with several rewards, from Stages to Custom Specials, Mii Fighter equipment, Trophies and more. Certain challenges marked by a light blue square will reward the player will a hammer that can be used to instantly gain the reward from the challenge, without having to complete it. Note that if the challenge is to unlock a character or other secret, breaking the tile will not give you that character.
There are 140 Challenge panels in the Wii U version of Smash Bros. To learn more about the challenge, its reward, and tips for beating it, see the table below to find the corresponding challenge (Letters for rows and Numbers for Columns). Panels in RED cannot be unlocked with a hammer, and panels in BLUE will reward you with a hammer (purple both rewards you and is immune to a hammer)

A1
Challenge: Clear Classic at intensity 9.0 without losing a single life.
Reward: Double Final Smasher Protection Badge
advertisement
Cannot Use Hammer
Strategies:
A2
Challenge: Play as Lucina and score 8 or more KOs in a single Solo Cruel Smash.
Reward: Vampire Brawn Badge
Cannot Use Hammer
Strategies: Lucina can use her Counter move to great effect, provided its timed right. To make the most of her attack, lure the fighters to one side of the stage and continually drop below the stage and recover before they can hit you. Then climb up and dodge roll behind them, keeping their backs to the edge. As they turn to attack, use your counter to hit all of them, with the power of their attack being reflected - they should fly pretty far. Added with their terrible recovery, most of them should not make it back. Then repeat the process for the next group, taking care not to get stuck or swamped by the fighters, and keep an eye out for the Mii Gunner's long range smash attack.
advertisement
A3
Challenge: Play alone and as Dr. Mario and get a Fever Rush 8 or more times in a single game of Trophy Rush.
Reward: 100000G
Cannot Use Hammer
Strategies: Using a custom Dr. Mario that has increased power, speed, and starts with an item (preferably a Star Rod) makes this challenge much easier. A stronger item allows you to destroy cement blocks and cannons easily, but the Star Rod has the added benefit of shooting stars strong enough to clear off timed bombs, or destroy the entire bottom of the stage.
A4
Challenge: Play as Pit and score 4 or more KOs in a single Solo Cruel Smash
Reward: Reaper Trophy
advertisement
Strategies: Instead of using the counter strategy used with Lucina, Pit has to rely on back throws to get the Mii's off the stage. At the start go immediately to one side of the stage, there should only be one Mii there, quickly throw them off. Then continually dodge at the edge, if a single Mii is within throw range back throw them off. If the Mii's group up around you, simply jump off the side, grab the ledge, roll past them, then run to the other side, wait for one Mii to come within throw range and repeat. This takes some patience and a few tries, so don't get discouraged! Good Luck :D
A5
Challenge: Play as PAC-MAN in Stage 3 and score 300000 or more in Solo Target Blast using the back wall
Reward: Whomp Trophy
Strategies: PAC-MAN can FULLY charge his Up-Smash without having to touch the bomb. Start off by jumping to the other side of the bomb fully charge an Up-Smash. This will start the bomb, go up to it do another Up-Smash, then Up-Tilts until it's ~75%. You should have ~4 secs to fully charge a Down-smash towards the back wall. The bomb will get the pesky targets all the way in the bottom right, as well as clear some of the blocks for the bigger bomb.
For the bigger bomb use the same strategy. Jump to the other side, fully charge an Up-Smash, walk up Up-Smash, then Up-Tilts until the bomb is around 83%. Instead of a Down-Smash do a fully charged Forward-Smash towards the back wall with the bomb around ~4 secs. Your goal is for the bomb to go off is the middle of the stage, so you may need to wait to start your smash. When it explodes it will set off both of the stage bombs and clear out most if not all the Red Targets (I had 1 left over) and blocks. Using this I got 360000, but it took a few tries though. Good Luck!

Challenge: Clear Crazy Orders after 20 or more turns while playing as Mario
Reward: F.L.U.D.D. Trophy
Strategies: Just go for the easier tickets like giant battle, hordes and metal battle. You will almost always have at least one of these there and I put them in order of what you should go for. For giant all you do is charge fludd while your opponent does the work and then take it away by useing high knockback moves like f-smash and fair spike. for horde just find a tilt that works and use it or use forward and back throws, and for metal just try to get them off stage and let gravity do its job.
B9
Challenge: Get a score of more than 85 in a single Rival Smash
Reward: Waluigi Trophy
Strategies: See the strategy in C8 for some basics tips for this challenge. Make sure to grab the POW blocks and Smart Bombs that appear. In addition, keep an eye on your rival and use tilts to steal some of the points they try to get. Only fight the rival when you have a clean shot, otherwise leave them alone or run from them. They won't chase you so no sense wasting time fighting them when you could be getting points.

Strategies: As with other Multi-Man Smash challenges, pick a character with fast and strong up-tilt attack (like Kirby, Link, Fox, and others) and stay on one of the side platforms, using the up-tilt attack to quickly clear the fighters as they drop in from above, then finish the rest.

Challenge:
Clear a Master Order while playing as Rosalina
Reward: Comet Observatory / Luma's Theme (CD)
Strategies: As mentioned in N3, be sure you know what kind of match you are getting into, as the rules and paramaters are randomized every time. Shoot for an easy difficulty if you aren't familar with Rosalina.

Challenge: Clear a Master Order Ticket
Reward: Crazy Orders Pass
Strategies: Master Orders vary in difficulty, so pick a character you are comfortable with and go for a ticket with an easy difficulty. Matches can vary wildly, so make sure to read the rules carefully before you dive in. You can even combine this challenge with another by playing as Rosalina or Mega Man.
N4

Challenge: Create a stage in Stage Builder
Reward: Saharah Trophy
Strategies: Self-explanatory - just build a stage, no matter how simple!
N8
Challenge: Bump into everyone once while playing Smash Tour
Reward: Mecha Suit (Mii Outfit)
Strategies: While this challenge should be simple enough for anyone playing Smash Tour, the easiest way to get this and other Smash Tour related challenges is to get 4 controllers and manually direct every player so that everyone bumps into one player. Note that the game will automatically move players after some time.

Challenge: Clear "The Original Heavyweights" event
Reward: Kongo Jungle 64 Stage
Strategies: This is a fairly simple event, as long as you aren't going for the optional reward. Try and spread out Bowser and DK so you have room to punish either one while the other tries to get back to you. If you lead them near an edge of the stage, try backthrowing them off for an easy KO.
N10
Challenge: Clear All-Star mode
Reward: Victini Pokemon, Hammer
Strategies: This can be done on any difficulty, so be sure to pick someone you're good with, and fighters with great survivability help. Note that you can only use 4 different recovery items in the resting period between matches, so use them sparingly (try to alternate using a recovery item every other match). Alternatively, Robin's Nosferatu attack can still drain health, providing the one "cheat" to this mode.

Challenge Tips & Tricks
Know of a great way to beat a certain challenge? Hit the EDIT button at the top and share your secrets for clearing challenge panels!
- A great method for beating several Target Blast challenges is to use Yoshi. Use his down aerial flutter kick on the bomb a few times before launching it with a smash attack to give it a good trajectory and power.
- To get a high score in Home-Run contest use Ganondorf and smash 3 times, turn around, do 4-5 side tilts and then do a backwards B attack (press B and immediatly press the opposite direction you are facing on the circle pad.
- To get a high combo for one of the challenges, put 4 smartbombs (the ones with the B) together and set them off all at once and you will see the combo meter skyrocket from 60 - 100+.
- To easily beat any of the multi-man smash challenges(100 man, 3 minute etc), except for the cruel smash ones, stand in the center of the stage and us Donkey Kongs down smash (where he pounds his hands on the ground). This has a high hit area and always results in a KO.
